In short, the answer is no. There is no BPA in Silicone (not to be confused with Silicon). Silicone is a man made rubberlike material that, so far, has proven to be non-toxic and safe to use in everything from baby bottles and nipples, pacifiers and toys, to cookware and even sealers.

These days manufacturers have caught onto consumer demands and many companies are producing BPA free alternatives. Just look for the label “BPA Free” or BPA with a circle and a slash through it.
If you have bottles from hand me downs or past children that are NOT BPA free, take the FULL SET into your local Babies R’ Us and they will exchange them from BPA free bottles and/or sippy cups.
